I'm never quite sure where this sort of comicbook fits into continuity and if anything, tend to think it's a what if to keep the fans happy. In this case it's having the two mainstays of the DC Universe up against the film Predators and Aliens.
The Predators come to our two super-heroes attentions individually. Superman spots them in the sewers of Metropolis and later when Clark Kent and his wife Lois are sent to investigate lost explorers near a reactive volcano in the Andes. The Batman encounters a team of Predators in Gotham City before making his own way there. With the volcano becoming active, Superman decides to get both Predators and Aliens off the planet on their repaired spaceship back where they belong. Things don't go quite to plan or you wouldn't have a long story.
Reading this book raises some interesting questions about Superman's morality. The Predators have killed a number of humans before they are sent on their way. Granted the Man of Steel doesn't kill but you would have thought there would be some sort of retribution or slapped wrist for doing such a thing. The Batman goes in better prepared to anaesthetise both species and with armour for protection. Ultimately, this is less of a battle and more of a peculiar rescue mission.
Whether such a tale delivers for you or not is a matter of personal taste. Certainly Ariel Olivetti's art aided by computer paint is pleasant to the eye and Mark Schultz' script covers the main points of both sides. If you want a more balanced battle though, it might pay to use some of the lesser powered DC heroes and seeing how they would cope.
