GalaxyOnline.com, the science-fiction entertainment site, announced at the 58th World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon) in Chicago that they have launched a new area on their site - Galaxy of Stars, a section devoted to offering information and images of top science fiction TV and movie celebrities. "The Galaxy of Stars gives fans an opportunity to find out, in a single, online, science fiction-oriented location, what projects their favourite celebrities are working on," quipped GalaxyOnline.com founder Doug Conway. "Every individual who has signed on to be a member of our Galaxy of Stars is, in one manner or another, a science fiction icon. Equally as importantly, they are now a part of the Galaxy family, which means that science fiction fans can look forward to seeing them appear in future Galaxy productions." Actors presently featured in the Galaxy of Stars include Tim Russ (Star Trek: Voyager), Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek), Walter Koenig (Star Trek), Robert Culp (The Outer Limits, The Greatest American Hero), Iake Eissinmann (Escape to Witch Mountain, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn), Wesley Eure (Land of the Lost) and Zienia Merton (Space 1999). Stars from such productions as Planet of the Apes, Lost in Space and The Time Tunnel are also featured, along with famous voice-over artists like Peter Fernandez (Speed Racer) and Corinne Orr (Speed Racer). Upcoming additions to the Galaxy of Stars include actors from other classics such as Dr. Who, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Barbarella, Alien Nation, Seaquest DSV, The Invaders and It Came From Outer Space. Producer BillWinckler - who he? - is the director of the Galaxy of Stars. "Some of these individuals are names we haven’t heard from in a long time, while others are currently appearing in hit movies and TV shows," added Conway. "Galaxy of Stars offers all science fiction buffs a chance to read exclusive updates, see rare photos and purchase limited-edition celebrity-themed items. And, perhaps most importantly, it also gives diehard science fiction fans an opportunity to discover what new Galaxy productions these actors will be working on long before that information is officially’ available. Over time, the Galaxy of Stars section of the site could serve as a peek backstage at what’s happening with GalaxyOnline.com productions." As well as their area dedicated to celeb watching, Galaxy TV offers a slew of original online entertainment and education programming. This includes Warped, a science-fiction sketch comedy series created exclusively for the Internet, and Fahrenheit 452: The Art Police, an original program described as "Men in Black meet Cops" starring Tim Russ of Star Trek Voyager fame.
