Galleons of Mars comes to the Net
web
site reviews
More fine examples of what the web has to offer to us science fiction
and fantasy lovers.
We start out with a shop cum movie database over at http://www.scifi-movies.com
- the movies are all sold via the usual affiliate deal with Amazon.
The thing that sets this site apart is that because they are based
in the French part of Canada, you can find the reviews in French
and English.
Irish
Christian Science Fiction
Well, here's a genre that site creator Rick Sutcliffe seems
to have cornered all to himself, Irish Christian SF. Hmm. Is that
Protestant or Catholic Christian, Rick.
Anyway, this an ebook site, featuring the author's own works.
Rick Sutcliffe's speculative fiction is soft science fiction written
from a Christian point of view. It is set among several alternate
worlds linked by a medium called the timestream, and involves the
characters in ethical decision making.
The first series, The Interregnum, takes place largely on Ortho
Earth, also called Greater Hibernia, and covers the period 1941-2001,
during which there was a ban on the throne and the High King's family,
and a corrupt oligarchy of nobles ruled. It received positive reviews
from Analog magazine's Tom Easton.
Sky Galleons
of Mars
Meanwhile, from Joe Boeke comes a role playing game resource, Sky
Galleons of Mars.
This was Frank Chadwick's trademark for his board game of Victorian
Era aerial combat on Mars. Set in GDW's Space:1889 universe, this
webzine has variants, new ship designs, scenarios, and links for
the game.
Steampunk, anyone?
Mike
Monroe

live in a town on the back of a gargantuan monster? What would you
do if your guardian angel told you you were going to lose everything?
Does anything really live forever? Find out here!
