Ing, Dean (Dean Ing)

In a garage, somewhere in America, with gears, gadgets, and gizmos galore, Dean Ing, the mastermind of science fiction and techno-thrillers, was often found tinkering with the nuts and bolts of not just cars, but thrilling stories as well. With a knack for bringing machines to life and a crafty way with words, Dean Ing, the Wizard of the Techno-Age, scribbled his way into the annals of science fiction history.

Dean, who seemed to be on a first-name basis with every nut and bolt in the universe, loved to weave tales about the wild possibilities of technology. He'd take you on a ride in stealth planes, have you zoom through space, and even let you experience a firefight in the future! He was the MacGyver of the literary world.

In his magnum opus, "The Ransom of Black Stealth One," Dean introduced us to an aircraft that’s more mysterious than Batman's Batwing. As the New York Times gave it a spot on their bestseller list, one could imagine the aircraft doing victory laps in the night sky. Of course, Dean was not one to rest on his laurels; he kept creating heart-pounding adventures, be it in the skies with his Aerospace Systems series or on the ground in the Quantrill series.

Now, let’s talk about Dean's writer-friends! It was as if he was the founding member of a secret society of literary superheroes. When a fellow science fiction author, Mack Reynolds, passed away, Dean Ing stepped in like a literary night in shining armor to complete Mack’s unfinished work. Imagine Dean wearing a cape with a pen for a sword, and notebooks for shields, ready to conquer and complete the stories.

Not only did Dean write thrillers, but he also worked with his buddies Jerry Pournelle, S.M. Stirling, and Leik Myrabo. They’d cook up a literary storm together and served readers a platter of imagination with a side of nail-biting excitement.

But wait! Dean didn't limit himself to fiction. Like a true Renaissance man, he dabbled in non-fiction as well. His “Mutual Assured Survival” could make you believe that he was on speed-dial with secret agents and had been to a few high-level security meetings.

In essence, Dean Ing was the friendly neighborhood techno-wizard, who combined the speed of a racing car with the thrust of a rocket and the wisdom of an oracle. His tales made readers believe that with a little imagination, a set of tools, and a lot of heart, they too could zoom into a future filled with wonders.
